Etsy Training
Opening an Etsy shop is easy; reaching the first 10 sales is not. Most shops go quiet not because the product is bad but because pricing, listing language and shipping were set up wrong from day one. In this training we apply everything we learned running our own handmade leather brand on Etsy — directly to your shop.
What the programme covers
- 1Product-channel fit: does your product suit Etsy, which gift moment does it serve?
- 2Shop setup: name, brand identity, policies and verification
- 3Pricing: a profitable price using landed cost and the 3× rule
- 4Etsy SEO: buyer-language titles, using all 13 tags, attribute fields
- 5Image set: the click-earning first photo, scale frame, personalization example
- 6Shipping and delivery: cross-border shipping, honest promises, tracking discipline
- 7Tax and legal structure: exemption or company?
- 8Etsy Ads: small-budget testing and where to move budget
- 9First 10 sales, review strategy and Star Seller metrics
Why Etsy is its own discipline
Etsy isn't a smaller Amazon. Buyers hunt for 'special', not 'cheap'; the search engine reads titles and tags differently; gift intent sets the price. Shops opened with Amazon logic are usually mispriced and listed with the wrong words. Half the training is spent getting that difference right.
Who it's for
- Workshops and makers producing handmade, personalizable or giftable products
- Anyone with an Etsy shop who can't reach the first sales
- Sellers stuck on the tax or shipping side of selling abroad
- Strong products let down by weak listings and visuals
Training or management?
Training if you want to run it yourself. If you'd rather we build and operate the shop, there's Etsy consulting and Etsy store management. The full subject is free to read in our Etsy selling guide.
