Amazon Title Builder

On Amazon a title isn't a marketing line, it's a structured data field. Its order, its length and the words it may not contain are all defined — and a title that breaks the rules can drop out of search with no warning.

Fill the fields in the order Amazon asks for; the tool assembles them. Empty fields are skipped.

Goes last; buyers scan for it there.

Only if it genuinely describes the product. Irrelevant terms hurt conversion.

Limit

Amazon's cap varies by category and marketplace and has been tightened over time. Confirm yours in Seller Central.

Start filling the fields — the title builds here as you type.

Your inputs stay in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.

How it's calculated

The tool assembles the fields in the order Amazon's own style guidance asks for: brand → product type → key feature → material → model/variant → audience → size. The order isn't arbitrary; buyers scan left to right and the first three elements carry most of the decision.

The character limit is an input. Amazon's cap varies by category and marketplace and has been tightened more than once; hard-coding one number here would quietly give wrong advice. Take yours from Seller Central.

The checks cover three things: promotional or subjective wording (sale, best, free shipping, %), all-caps words and special characters. All three are suppression triggers, and none of them come back as an error message — the listing simply stops showing.

Finally the tool shows the first ~75 characters as they appear on mobile. Most Amazon searches happen there, and anything past that cut-off is invisible to most buyers.

What people most often forget

  • Keyword stuffing no longer works. Repeating a term doesn't rank you, and an irrelevant one may win a click while hurting conversion — which is what actually drives rank.
  • Another brand's name is a policy violation — even “compatible with X” draws complaints and takedowns in many categories.
  • Size and quantity go last, but they must be there. “Not the size I expected” is a leading return reason, and the title is where you prevent it.
  • Write the title in the destination market's language. A Turkish-language title on Amazon.com converts almost nobody.
  • Editing a title shakes ranking temporarily. Don't keep changing a working listing; when you do, give it two weeks before judging.

Scope, sources and freshness

This is an assistant, not a compliance checker: it catches common violations but does not replace Amazon's category style guides. Limits, permitted wording and required attributes vary by category and marketplace. Nothing is transmitted; everything runs in your browser.

Frequently asked

What is Amazon's title character limit?

There isn't one: the cap varies by category and marketplace and has been reduced over time. That's why it's an input here — confirm yours in the category style guide in Seller Central.

Which words are banned in a title?

Promotional and subjective wording — sale, best, free shipping, guarantee, percentage signs — plus all-caps writing and special characters such as ! $ ? _ { } ^ ~ *.

Should I stuff keywords into the title?

No. Irrelevant terms may win clicks but hurt conversion, and conversion is what ranks you. Put the overflow in the backend search terms field instead.

Can I change the title later?

Yes, but each edit unsettles ranking for a while. Make one change at a time and give it two weeks before the next.
