Revoba apps for Google TV and Android TV
This policy covers the following applications, published by Revoba LLC:
net.revoba.tvcleanernet.revoba.avsyncnet.revoba.seniortvnet.revoba.signagenet.revoba.tvlockThere are no servers of ours, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no accounts. Nothing you do in these apps — the apps installed on your TV, the files you display, how long the TV is used — is ever sent anywhere.
The apps do hold the INTERNET permission. It exists for one
reason: each app offers a single one-time purchase to unlock its full
version, and Google Play's billing library needs network access to verify
that purchase. That exchange happens between your device and Google; it
carries no information about how you use the app.
There are no user accounts and no sign-in. Nothing you do in these apps is associated with an identity, because no identity exists.
Each app saves its own settings on the television itself, in the app's private storage. Depending on the app this includes things like your chosen home-screen tiles, a measured audio delay value, a playlist of files you picked, a daily time limit, or a PIN (stored only as a one-way hash, never as the digits you typed).
This data never leaves the device. Uninstalling an app removes it completely.
Some apps ask for permissions that sound broad. Each one is used only for the feature described below, and never to gather information about you.
| App | Permission | Why |
|---|---|---|
| All five apps | INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE |
Required by Google Play's billing library to verify the one-time purchase that unlocks the full version. Used for nothing else. |
| TV Cleaner | QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES |
To list the apps installed on your TV with their sizes. This is the app's core function — showing you what is taking up space. |
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS |
To read app sizes and when each app was last opened, so unused apps can be identified. You grant this yourself in system settings; the app works without it, with less detail. | |
REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES |
To open Android's own uninstall confirmation dialog. The system performs the removal, not the app. | |
| Simple TV for Seniors | QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES |
To show the list of installed apps so a caregiver can choose which ones appear as home-screen tiles. |
| Signage Lite | READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO |
To read the images and videos you select for the playback loop, including files on a connected USB drive. Files are only read for display; they are never copied or uploaded. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED |
To resume your slideshow automatically when the TV is switched on, if you enable that option. | |
| TV Time Lock | SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW |
To display the lock screen over other apps when a rule you set is reached. It is used for nothing else. |
FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE |
To keep counting screen time and applying your rules while other apps are in the foreground. | |
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS |
To measure how long the TV has been in use today. Only a running total is kept on the device. | |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED |
To show the required ongoing service notification, and to restore your rules after the TV restarts. |
These apps are not directed to children. TV Time Lock and Simple TV for Seniors are tools for a parent or caregiver to configure a shared television. They do not collect information from anyone, including children.
Each app is free to install and offers a single one-time purchase that unlocks its full version. Payment is handled entirely by Google — Revoba LLC never sees or receives your payment details. Refunds follow Google Play's standard policy.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Since the apps collect no data, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
